OL MARCO SILVA backed his Fulham squad to cope with the rough stuff of the Championship.

The new Cottagers boss, who has only previously managed in the Premier League with Hull, Watford, and Everton, was not surprised by the physicality of the second tier.

And he was more frustrated by a Middlesbrough leveler than a few bumps and bruises.

It looked as though Harry Wilson, the £12m signings from Liverpool, was going to mark his Fulham debut with the winning goal when he put his side ahead in Silva’s first game in charge.
