FINANCE MINISTER NIRMALA Sitharaman on Tuesday said the Narendra Modi government in its expected third term will usher in "next-generation reforms" in all the factors of production and step up intervention in specific areas such as space, artificial intelligence and warehousing to make India a developed nation.
With the government ramping up capital expenditure and global investment flowing into India at a slightly increased pace, the minister appealed to India Inc. to speed up their investments "in the joint mission to make India a developed nation by 2047".
"The reforms will touch on all the factors of production, land, labour, and capital. But, I will also add up digital infrastructure, a modern factor of production," Sitharaman said at Ficci's 'VIKSIT BHARAT@2047' event here.
