PCR tests for vaccinated staff not mandatory in Abu Dhabi

The UAE has announced that it conducted 152,588 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-theart medical testing equipment

ABU DHABI

The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi (ADDED) announced that shop and restaurant employees in Abu Dhabi, who have taken the COVID-19 vaccine, are not required to undergo PCR tests every 24 days.

The authorities announced in a social media post that this applies to all residents who work at restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, bakeries, malls, and shopping centers, butcheries, and other retailers.

ADDED has directed the owners of the economic establishments operating in the emirate to conduct their PCR examination every 14 days, and the establishment must bear the test fees.

ADDED reminded that the COVID-19 vaccine is available to residents for free at all vaccination centers.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, announced that it conducted 152,588 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.
