Councils Need To Loo-k And Learn What To Do When The Sun Shines

If we are going to keep the shops, cafes, pubs and beer gardens closed then we are going to have to start putting bins, benches and portaloos in our public places.

All over the country this Easter weekend we’ve seen crowds come out and congregate with bags of cans, portable BBQs and even full-on sound systems.

Yes, people shouldn’t be doing it and certainly it poses a public health risk.

But it’s going to happen and all the tut-tutting and curtain-twitching in the world is not going to stop it.

And if you live close to a park, canal or anywhere that’s handy for cans when the sun is shining, you’re going to see people litter and – what’s a nice way of saying this – relieve themselves in corners.
