LN Mittal-led global steel giant ArcelorMittal on Thursday announced a staggering net loss of $1.1 billion for the Jan-March quarter this year as the devastating coronavirus pandemic hit demand.
The world's largest steelmaker had posted a net profit of $0.4 billion in the same quarter last year but had plunged into a net loss of $1.9 billion in the October-December quarter of 2019. The world's leading integrated steel and mining company follows January-December fiscal year.
