Psychodynamic psychotherapist, Aleeka Kumar, says, “I think celebs speaking about mental health is good because as role models for people, they can lift stigma off mental health issues. Yet, mental health does not come with the glamour that gets associated with it. The journey in that blind alley of a negative state of mind is an extremely hard one. There is nothing glamorous about it. There is a lot of conscious unlearning and taking baby steps in the right direction that is required. It’s donkey work with the mind.”
