In 1968, Magnum photographer Dennis Stock embarked on a five-week trip that took him through all the winding highways that veined the landscape of California. His purpose was simple – create a definitive document of the hippie movement, the countercultural community that has, in retrospect, become so identified with the era. The resulting book, California Trip, was published in 1970 and is now, for the first time since its initial release, available to buy.
