So you've got past the prologue, got infected and plopped into the open world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human. You've got the basics down, but that won't help much when dealing with the toughest challenges the game throws at you like Volatiles and bandits who can easily kill you if you aren't careful. Becoming a true Nightrunner isn't going to be easy, a few tips here and there will make your stay in The City a whole lot easier.
Do story missions
Okay, this one is pretty obvious, but equipment like the grappling hook is tied to story progression as well as important crafting recipes like the Immunity Booster, which increases the amount of time you can stay in the dark without dying. The game opens up so much more once you get the paraglider.
Take your time
Do side quests, get gold medals in challenges, climb windmills, loot abandoned convoys, or track down inhibitor crates. There's really no rush to finish the story. I still had a lot of fun without Nightrunner tools. It forced me to learn the parkour system and the fastest routes through The City. While doing so, you're also working towards becoming more of a zombie hunting badass either by gaining XP or finding enough inhibitors to...
Upgrade your stamina
Just like in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, it's important to spend most of your inhibitors in the early game upgrading your max stamina rather than your health. A lot of areas in The City are tough to get through if you don't have a lot of it, and if it's not necessary, you should run instead of fight in most cases. Plus, the more fun parkour skills become available as you increase your maximum stamina like the ability to sprint.
