I have interacted with many such people who believe that every good act contributes to the betterment of the whole universe. I document my encounters with them here, leaving out names and outlining only the process. Each of us has unlimited potential which can be manifested through simple efforts.
‘P’ seems like any other young engineering student from any Indian city. He loves to work late into the night, likes to hang out with friends, is very attached to his family, and like most people, believes in doing good whenever possible. And yet he is very different from his peers.
As a student he happened to notice how a profusion of cooked food got wasted during weddings and other social events. He felt this was gross social injustice when countless poor went to bed hungry every night. He decided he had to bring about a change. Like most people of his generation, he posted a note on social media. Giving his phone number, he welcomed event organisers to reach out to him in case surplus food was available. He offered to collect and distribute it among the hungry poor.
