I have wings to fly and create history, yet, I never attempted for quite a long time. I am Imy daddy's little princess, yet, I never behaved like one. I am a queen for my husband, yet, I never believed his words.
I have been pondering a lot over this - Why is it I never believed in myself? Why is it my belief in myself is not stronger than beliefs of others in me? Why is it I don't believe the ones who believe in me?
We all go through constant judgements and criticism. There are few amongst us who wade the waters, while few - stay low and stagnant, simply trying to survive.
As I grew up, I observed this bias towards men over women, towards outer beauty over inner beauty, towards riches over needy. The world seemed a little fake - masks all around – hooked up with social dogma and prejudices.

Dancer, choreographer and teacher of Bharatanatyam, Smt. Revathi Ramachandran's repertoire has taken her to stages PAN India, Europe and America. She is the only exponent of 'Sudha Nrittam', an ancient temple dance revived by her Guru Mangudi Dorairaja Iyer. She has been the recipient of many awards and accolades including the prestigious Kalaimamani award.Apart from her cultural achievements, this master's degree holder in Economics, has also captained the Tamil Nadu Women's' Basketball team in early 80s.
