Bruce and I worked together years ago, when I was still working in oil and gas as a Dimensional Control Senior Survey Supervisor/ HSEQ Manager. We’ve rarely crossed paths of late, but he’s seen my ongoing airgun and pest control activity via my Instagram and Facebook pages. He emailed me out of the blue a few weeks ago, to say he now lives a few miles away, keeps chickens and has a rat problem, asking if I could help. The rats occupy one bank of a small burn running through his garden, bordering a wood also within his property. He’d regularly seen up to five of them at any one time, below the bird feeders, taking advantage of falling scraps. He hadn’t been concerned about the rats interfering with his beloved chickens, until he saw a rat attack and very rapidly kill a magpie! Then he urgently got in touch.
