SCOTT Brown’s Celtic trophy haul is phenomenal. In 12-and-a-half years at Paradise, the captain has lifted nine league titles, five Scottish Cups, five League Cups and a slew of personal accolades from PFA Scotland, the Scottish Football Writers Association and the club itself.
Defence of the Scottish Cup, for a fourth consecutive season, starts this Saturday, as the Hoops travel to play Partick Thistle in the competition’s fourth round. With a short break and two weeks’ worth of training under his belt – one at the Hoops’ mid-season camp in Dubai, the other back home at Lennoxtown – the 34-year-old can’t wait to return to action.
“The Dubai camp was good, we knew what we had to do and what we wanted to work on over there, and we did that,” said Brown in an exclusive interview with the Celtic View. “The manager and the backroom staff worked us hard, but it was enjoyable as well. Training in the heat is difficult, that’s the point of our regime over there, but at the same time you can’t complain.
