IT was frustrating to have an international break immediately following the 4-1 win against Motherwell almost two weeks ago.

It was an exciting performance from the team and I’m sure it left most Celtic fans eagerly anticipating more of the same. The lack of Celtic games did not mean a lack of attention-grabbing performances from Celtic players, however.

As my Celtic social media colleagues put it on Thursday (November 12) night, Scotland’s second-half goal was ‘a goal made in Paradise’.

McGregor and Christie have been pivotal for Celtic in recent years and the pair showed their qualities in the opening goal, with McGregor providing the assist and Christie finishing the move.

When Serbia scored in the last minute there was that familiar feeling of despair and the home side had the momentum throughout extra-time.
