Not surprisingly, India legend Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for having scored most runs against Australia in one-dayers. In 71 matches, Tendulkar notched up 3077 runs against Australia at an average of 44.59 and at a strike rate of 84.71 with nine hundreds and 15 fifties.

Rohit Sharma, who has also enjoyed a prolific run against Australia, is at number two with 2208 runs in 40 matches at an average of 61.33 and a strike rate of 93.87. For Australia, the record for most ODI runs against India is held by Ricky Ponting. He smashed 2164 runs in 59 matches at an average of 40.07 and a strike rate of 81.41.
