Man, that was ugly.
When quarterback Lamar Jack son took a knee to end the Giants’ 27-13 whipping at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens, one thing became abundantly clear — the Giants are nowhere near in the class of the upper-echelon teams in the NFL.
This was clearly apparent when the Giants lost their third consecutive game to a playoff contending team by at least 14 points.
The magic of coach Joe Judge, and his master of disguise defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, has disappeared, and all that is left is the below-level talent that has reared its ugly head.
Hey, it had to happen sooner or later.
When December rolls around, quality teams kick it up a notch, especially when they’re playing to get into the playoff tournament. The intensity, film study, and attention to details reach a higher level, one that the Giants couldn’t match in M&T Bank Stadium.
The Fighting Joe Judges were a step behind in everything they did.
Stop the run? Nope.
Fool Jackson with disguised coverages? Nope.
Pick up the blitz and take advantage of Wink Martindale’s aggressive tight coverage? Nope.
It was all for naught and Judge knew it.
