Ash King experienced pain just when music was taking a good turn for him. He lost his father when he had just set out to live his dreams. Bollywood was not an easy path that he had chosen to tread on and relationships seemed precarious. But this man who personifies the undying spirit, won it with his perseverance. The loss changed his life...Bollywood altered his perspective...but his faith in ‘true love’ remains unperturbed.

Hailing from a family of celebrated musicians, how big was the responsibility of taking the legacy ahead in your unique way?

I think of this question a lot, about what am I doing on my part for the legacy? It’s not something that I can answer. I feel it’s like a story, where one person writes the introduction, the first chapter is written by the next person and so on. That’s how I see music in my family. I think my chapter is very different from the rest. My dad’s second cousin is Kishore Kumar, so he has written a huge chapter. I am writing my part, although in a different way. My chapter has just begun, I think I have a lot to explore and my interest is to write a good chapter in the story.

 How is working in Bollywood, coming from London and English as your first language?
