My pooch is now seizure-free, thanks to a robotic device By Lyn Weber, 47, from Bristol
My heart melted when I looked into her big, brown eyes.
From that moment onwards, she had me and my husband Shane wrapped around her little paw.
It was October 2012 and Eva, a little Jack Russell pup, had found a firm place in our home – and our hearts!
Shane had always wanted a dog. And as he was turning 50 that year, I’d thought a pup would make a great gift.
So we’d found a breeder and come away with Eva.
My mum Sue, 71, had recently moved in with us, and she was excited about our new arrival, too.
‘Come to Granny,’ she’d say, making a fuss of the little bundle of fur.
Eva was adorable. We just couldn’t resist her sweet little face, and we’d always spoil her with new toys and cuddles.
And at night, there was no room in bed for me and Shane to snuggle.
Eva would pop up between us and sprawl!
‘Eva the diva,’ I’d joke.
She was our baby, though, and we wouldn’t have changed a thing about her.
Then, in May 2015, Eva didn’t seem herself.
She kept sulking in her bed.
And when Shane walked past her, Eva nipped him.
‘That’s not like her,’ he frowned.
