A wedding may be the bride’s day to shine, but the onus to look good falls on the groom as well...

Over the past half-decade or so, prepping the bridegroom for a wedding is a concept that has really picked up in India. Gone are the days when the only thing the prospective groom would get was a bachelor party; these days, they get facials and manicures as well! Here are some of the more popular ways in which Indian grooms are ensuring that they look like ‘the man of her dreams’ that their brides already know them to be:

Push-ups and paneer

Like brides, grooms too are starting to think long-term when it comes to preparing for the special day. This, of course, means putting greater emphasis on diet and exercise. After all, wouldn’t you want to look fab when sporting the sherwani you dropped a small fortune on? Hiring a trainer and consulting a dietician are two of the basic steps to ensure you are in great—or at least acceptable—health for your wedding. Those high protein diets and cardio sessions may demand a little sacrifice, but will whip you into shape like never before.
