He's One Of A Kind

LIKE many children his age, Mawande Lushozi (28) from Emndeni in Soweto enjoyed playing soccer on the dusty streets of Soweto and dreamt of a better life. But little did he know that his inquisitive mind and love for puzzles would one day lead to a PhD in Theological Physics.

GOING FOR HIS DREAMS

Mawande matriculated from Mondeor High School. He believes it was his love for sports that made him popular with his peers.

He says he always made time for everything, but when it was time for his books, he always knew when to draw the line.

After matric, he obtained his BSc in Mathematics and Physics at the age of 22, followed by a BSc Honours in Mathematics. As if this isn’t enough, he furthered his studies and obtained an Honours in Physics and later a Masters in Physics and PhD in Theological Physics.
