THERE is a saying that when two bulls fight, it’s the grass that suffers. Innocent children often find themselves in the middle of their parents’ fights. Simply put, the fights you have with your spouse have an impact on your children and experts agree. You might not immediately take note of the effects, but they will be evident at a certain point. Kolobe Mushi, a counsellor at The Family Life Centre (Famsa), says children who come from a home where parents are experiencing marital problems will be affected and if they don’t get help to deal with those emotions, they will become troubled.
