Kwesta's In Trouble

THE Ngud’ hitmaker has found himself in trouble with the Broadcasting Complaints Commission (BCCSA) because of a scene in his Spirit music video that some viewers found to be disturbing.

THE MUSIC VIDEO

One of Kwesta’s biggest hits has been his single, Spirit, featuring international rapper Wale. The music video which was shot in Katlehong in the East Rand, where he grew up, depicts township life and many black traditions. You see proud Christians in their church attires, graffiti on abandoned buildings, a traditional healer’s bones, a taxi which is the heart of transportation in the country and a split second of a chicken being slaughtered. The video has been a hit and many have said it raised the standard of SA music videos.
