Afro soul singer opens up about her family and new sound
FAMOUSLY known for her Afro soul music, singing sensation Siphokazi Maraqana is making her comeback with a gospel album called Siphokazi. The singer has established her own recording company. She says her latest album is her best work thus far as she went back to her roots. She speaks about how she went on a long break to focus on her business and having more family time and raising her two children.
DISAPPEARING FROM THE LIMELIGHT
The singer explains that it was not by choice to disappear from the limelight, but she had other businesses that she needed to take care of. She says after getting married, she had to put her family first and regroup from the music side.
“After getting married in 2012, I fell pregnant with my first child. Then in 2014 I gave birth to my second child,” she says.
