My bathroom RULES!

THERE’S MORE IMPORTANT CONCERNS THAN WHO LEFT THE TOILET SEAT UP

The bathroom! This has been one of the more fun and challenging rooms to tackle since going zero-waste. And it has probably inspired more fails and triumphs than any other room in my house. I can’t even tell you the last time I used or bought toothpaste, but boy was that a ride.

It wasn’t until I went zero-waste that I realized how much hoarding goes on in bathrooms. I had tons of tubes of toothpaste in various stages of use, bottles of this, pottles of that, and every skincare tube you can imagine. And then, the soap – so many containers of liquid soap.

I have a no-waste policy. I can’t abide the thought of storing all these unused unguents and potions, so unless they present a clear risk to the environment, I’ve taken a ‘use it up’ policy.

When you look around your bathroom, do you see the same problem? I reckon we use up the products and then we do better.
