Is Denise Van Outen’s ‘try before you buy’ plan before getting hitched actually rather sensible?
Denise could be onto something

A million congratulations to Denise Van Outen, who has announced she is marrying partner of seven years Eddie Boxshall. The couple are having relationship therapy before COVID allows them to walk down the aisle in front of family and friends.

Anyone who has watched them gently bickering about TV shows on Gogglebox will agree this is a smart move. Denise says she and Eddie have had counselling ‘to sort out flaws that most people brush under the carpet before we venture into matrimony’. The savvy couple are turning this idea into a podcast, so they are seeing all sorts of therapists. They might have hit on something. We wouldn’t think of signing a lease for a car or a house without thoroughly researching it first. So why do we dive head first into matrimony?
