Joanna Lumley has always been glamorous and svelte, and has barely aged since she started modelling and acting in the late 60s.
The Absolutely Fabulous star, now 74, has previously put her youthful glow down to a vegetarian diet, and advised others to follow in her footsteps, saying, ‘I don’t do exercises or special face routines or anything. But keep calm, keep cheerful. Be a vegetarian or cut down a bit on fish and meat, and eat more vegetables.’
But, despite her advice, Joanna has confessed she’s got – in her own words – ‘terribly fat’ during the pandemic, as she and her husband of 35 years, Stephen Barlow, have spent their downtime cooking and eating a lot more than she would normally. We sympathise, Joanna!
Cooking together
Prior to the pandemic, Joanna spent most of her time globetrotting around the world for her travel documentaries or offfilming a TV show or movie. As a musical conductor, husband Stephen’s lifestyle was very much the same.
