How anyone other than the likes of Simon Cowell and Kate Moss can afford to light up is beyond me.

But now a review for the government has come up with a plan to try and make the filthy, expensive, damaging, pointless habit obsolete.

When I was a kid, you only had to be 16 to buy a packet of 10 fags down the off-licence and they didn’t cost much more than a quid. These days you need to be 18 and a packet of 20 costs anything between £9 and £16. An insane amount.
