Welcome the WILDLIFE
Creating a nectar bar

Sugar-rich nectar is a valuable source of nutrients for all the pollinating insects that help our gardens grow. Not only are they essential to our ecosystem and the success of our crops, it’s also a joy to watch insects and birds in the garden.

You can make a nectar bar to feed and shelter bees and butterflies in a bed or border, or simply a window box or container.

Plan well and you’ll have a colourful, aromatic display that brims with life.

Hoverflies love fennel flowers

Insect-friendly herbs

Include herbs in your nectar bar, for an aromatic boost and a chance to harvest fresh produce for your kitchen:
