Plumes of smoke and the sound of screeching tyres fill the air as Queensland mum Sharon Adams executes a perfect burnout.
It’s usually the Saturday night trick of show-off hooligans, not middle-aged mums of three, but Sharon has been driving special event vehicles for the past six years alongside her husband Peter, 52, and son Peter Jnr, 27.
“The first time I got behind the wheel I was terrified,” Sharon admits. “But when you finish your burnout it’s exhilarating.”
