As little Prince George celebrated his fourth birthday last week, Prince William spoke about his sadness that his mother Princess Diana is not there to see the adorable heir and his little sister Princess Charlotte growing up.

In the documentary Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, William, 35, spoke of the importance to him that his children know their “Granny Diana” who, even in her absence, is still such a crucial part of his life.

Revealing that he constantly regales the two young royals – who stole the show on their recent European tour – with stories about Diana, he also explained that he and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge, 35, have decorated the family’s home with photos of the late princess.
