From her clothes to her mod home, Gina can’t get enough of the daring decade

It might be 2021 but walk into Gina Guarnieri’s home and you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d travelled back in time.

Gina lives surrounded by 1960s appliances and memorabilia, including crockery, furniture, clothing and a record player. The 57-year-old woman also has four scooters – three Vespas and a Lambretta – a 1966 Triumph Herald Convertible and a 1959 Bedford CA Porthole Campervan.

Gina became obsessed with the decade in the early ’80s when she was a teenager, after watching the British cult film Quadrophenia.

“It showed me a way of life that I wanted to be ‘me’,” she says. “During the ’70s, I didn’t like the clothes and homewares that. were in vogue then.
