Friends fear for her health as the big day looms
She’s supposed to be looking forward to what should be the happiest day of her life, but as the world counts down the hours until the royal wedding, Meghan Markle is struggling with the stress of ongoing scandals and the demands of planning the big event.
While her groom Prince Harry has encouraged her to try to enjoy the build-up as much as she can, the bride-to-be hasn’t found much to smile about lately – in fact, the pressure has gotten so bad, it’s made her physically ill.
“The entire planning process has been extremely stressful for Meghan and she’s taken little pleasure from it all,” reveals a palace insider speaking exclusively to Woman’s Day. “At times, it’s even made her physically sick.
“Ever since she and Harry got engaged, it’s been one thing after another and Meghan’s really struggled to keep herself composed, having breakdowns behind closed doors. On a couple of her wobbliest moments, she’s even contemplating calling the whole thing off.”
Feeling harried
We’re told Meghan, 36, has recently suffered from insomnia, crippling stomach pains, mood swings and a lack of appetite, all of which she blames on the stress of the upcoming wedding. Our insider adds, “It’s led to some tense rows between her and Harry, which came as a shock given they’d never had so much as a squabble during the entire time they were dating.”
The prince, 33, has reportedly tried to take some of the burden off Meghan by delegating to the royal household, however, his bride-to-be insists on remaining extremely hands-on in every part of the process.
