Leading manufacturers introduce highly innovative solutions in response to the evolving uses of the kitchen

filling in the gaps

If you have ever wanted to close the gap between the farm and the table, or between the kitchen and a contiguous part of the home, two new kitchen systems launched at EuroCucina and Milan Design Week this year should come as exciting solutions to your conundrum.

With the evolving use of kitchens, manufacturers are coming up with solutions that solve even anticipated issues. Among the most interesting that we found come from two Italian brands Cesar Kitchens and Arclinea. The former focuses on demarcating the kitchen space and an adjoining area of the home while simultaneously connecting them with beautifully designed furniture. The latter, on the other hand, has come up with a cabinet for hydroponic gardening to ensures a supply of fresh greens.

What is common between them is that the new systems can fit right into existing ones as long as they are from the same range or model. The expanse of the new work surfaces is very generous, while the possibility for customisation and incorporation of varied elements redefine modularity.

Cesar

At the Milan Design Week this year, Cesar showcased innovation in materials, surfaces, colours, and textures, alongside functionality and spatial fluidity.

Employing innovative technology, the Italian kitchen brand developed original finishes that were applied to Utopian Garden and Wonder Landscape in the N_Elle collection, and Nuance in the Tangram Island collection.

Oak was introduced to the existing Groove door. The range has three-dimensional vertical grooves that hide the joints between the modules and give an impression of a single unified surface. The same grooves also help camouflage the doors’ openings.
