Shortly after making their début in India, Kia developed a sizeable fan base. Here is our review of the Kia Sonet GT Line and what we think of it

THE AUGUST 2022 SALES data for Kia India have been publicised. This South Korean auto-maker's Indian subsidiary sold 22,322 vehicles in August 2022, an increase of 33.27 per cent year over year. As many as 16,750 units were sold by the company during the corresponding period the year before.

The Sonet Sonet has sold well since its launch it has been a successful model for Kia, so we had to start this by showing you how popular the Sonet has become in India among compact SUV buyers.

With their small selection of vehicles, Kia India have always been aggressive in updating it. The X Line trim adds a bit extra to the model range in addition to model year updates that include necessary changes. The Sonet X Line from Kia has just been released in India, with prices starting at Rs 13.39 lakh for the 1.0 turbopetrol DCT variant and rising to Rs 13.99 lakh for the 1.5 diesel AT variant.
