Celebrating Fendt's 20 000th tractor

In a first for 92-year-old agricultural machinery manufacturer Fendt, the company celebrated the building of its 20 000th tractor of the year in December 2022.

Lying about 120km north of Fendt's Bavarian headquarters, the factory is located in Asbach-Bäumenheim, with a sister plant in Marktoberdorf in the Allgäu. The factory is one of the world's most advanced facilities.

The 20 000th Fendt produced in late December 2022 happened to be a 724.

The Fendt 700 Vario has been one of the most popular tractor series in South Africa.

The tried and proven six-cylinder engine on the Fendt 700 Vario delivers 107kW to 177kW with a top speed of 50km/h. The 6,1-litre engine ensures a high-torque driving experience.

The Vario gearbox provides a stepless drive from 0,02km/h to a maximum speed of 50km/h, with the continuously variable speed adjustment optimising engine use. A tractor management system controls the engine and transmission to ensure they are always working at their economical best.
