Meet Sanya Runwal
Young and vivacious Sanya Runwal spearheads Runwal's retail division. She is responsible for managing and expanding Runwal's retail business across India.
With her global exposure, fresh approach and attention to detail, she has become a crucial part of the transformative journey of Runwal malls, helping the company keep up with the evolving expectations of consumers. Under her leadership, Runwal has focused on sustainability, customer experience, and community engagement.
She has built strong partnerships with leading retail brands and is dedicated to ensuring that every project brings value to both the company and the community.
Her vision is to make Runwal a leader in the retail sector, while also focusing on the environmental benefits.
She graduated with honours from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts, where she built a strong foundation in business and leadership. Her education has equipped her with the skills to make informed, strategic decisions that benefit the company and its stakeholders.
After graduation, she spent two years working at Landor, a global branding and design agency, in New York. Her work and international experience as a brand strategist have seen her create cohesive brand narratives that leverage market insights and consumer behaviour to deliver innovative, growth-driven strategies. She is passionate about positioning brands for lasting impact and differentiation and is pivotal in building the brand architecture and positioning.
When travelling on the Eastern Express Highway in Mumbai it's hard to miss the gigantic hoardings by Runwal, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region's leading real estate player enticing people to book a home at many of its upcoming projects. As you near Ghatkopar, the narrative changes to one luring you to step into the group's massive 1.2 million sq. ft. mall R City.
