The International Conference on Inclusive Insurance (ICII 2024), taking place from 21-25 October in Kathmandu, Nepal, will mark the 20th edition of this globally significant event.

Hosted by the Nepal Insurers' Association, Life Insurance Association Nepal, Nepal Micro Insurance Association and the Nepal Insurance Authority in collaboration with the Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network, the conference is expected to draw over 400 participants from around the world.

Attendees will include experts from NGOs, development-aid organizations, regulatory bodies, policymakers, and leaders from the insurance industry, all focused on advancing inclusive insurance solutions for low-income and vulnerable households, as well as micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).

ICII 2024 will feature a dynamic programme with 24 sessions, including keynote speeches, plenary discussions, panel talks, interactive workshops, field trips, and a press conference for registered media. The agenda will address critical themes such as climate risk insurance, digital innovations in microinsurance, and overcoming barriers to scaling inclusive insurance.

Key highlights include the Inaugural Session on 22 October, where the conference will be officially opened on the role of inclusive insurance in strengthening financial resilience, especially for vulnerable communities.
