JERRY SPRINGER’s TV talk show made him rich and famous beyond his wildest dreams — but sources say the raunchy ringmaster went to his grave fearing he’d pay for promoting garbage in the afterlife!

The 79-year-old, who died of pancreatic cancer April 27, first dreamed of becoming a political powerhouse but lost runs for the U.S. House of Representatives and governor of Ohio. He served four terms on the Cincinnati City Council and was the city’s mayor in 1977. A hooker scandal derailed his political career.

When he launched his syndicated talk show in 1991, his original vision was to discuss serious issues like homelessness and gun control.
