As well as managing her growing popularity on Instagram, where she has gained more than a million
followers, she has written her first cookbook, So Good, and launched a gut health supplement brand, Epetome. She is also planning a wedding to her partner and “chief recipe taster”, brand consultant Aaron McFeely.
Emily, 28, worked in the fashion industry as a model, but after developing a toxic relationship with food, she trained as a nutritionist and began to share healthy, delicious recipes on social media.
“Nutrition is all about health, habits and happiness,” she tells hello!. “They are the pillars I base everything around.”
Here, Emily tells us why she doesn’t believe in fad diets and what she would serve if we were invited round for dinner.
Emily, how did you get into cooking?
“My first job was in my granny’s restaurant – she was a chef. My family are proper food lovers, so every time there was a birthday or celebration, it would always revolve around food. I’ve always been in love with good food and the connection it gives.”
What’s your favourite recipe from your new book, So Good?
“I love my chicken lasagne. I tend to make that whenever I’m hosting. There’s also spinach and ricotta malfatti. It’s like a giant stuffed gnocchi dumpling thing. They’re low-effort with maximum reward.”
