The King and the Prince of Wales stepped out together last week as His Majesty handed over one of his key military titles to his son and heir.
In a rare joint official engagement, Prince William took over from his father as Colonel-inChief of the Army Air Corps, a title the 75-year-old monarch had held for 32 years.
“I do hope you’ll go from strength to strength in the future with the Prince of Wales as your new Colonel-in-Chief,” the King told veterans, families and staff at Middle Wallop air base in Hampshire.
