On May 6, Prince William and Princess Kate’s eldest son will serve as a Page of Honour during the coronation of grandfather King Charles III at Westminster Abbey in London — and he’ll be the first future monarch to do so.

That means all eyes are on the young boy. “Initially, Kate was on the fence about George participating. She and William try to shield their son from the media and public scrutiny, and the coronation is bound to be a circus. They’d never push him to do anything out of his comfort zone, so Kate let George make the final decision,” a source tells Life & Style. “But he jumped at the chance! George is thrilled to be sharing in this moment with his grandfather.”
