THE body of Donald Trump's would-be assassin was cremated before officials had the coroner's go-ahead, sparking charges the U.S. Department of Justice is covering up crucial details about the failed attempt on the former president's life!

Experts say the world will now likely never definitively know the full truth about the death of the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, or what could have possibly motivated the seemingly apolitical loner to attempt his deplorable act during a Pennsylvania campaign stop.

"We have the preliminary coroner's report, but that's not the same as independent congressional investigators examining the body at the morgue," explains a Beltway insider. "That oversight was needed given the scandal surrounding the assassination attempt.

"Unfortunately, Crooks' body is now a pile of ash, and the truth may have been incinerated along with it."

Crooks, 20, ignited a firestorm of controversy on July 13 by successfully evading multiple layers of security at the Butler Farm Show grounds in Pennsylvania's Connoquenessing Township to squeeze off several shots at Trump while the GOP presidential candidate gave an open-air address in a crucial swing state.
