It's been nearly 13 years since Geordie Shore first hit screens, gripping fans as it followed the lives of a group of Newcastle's wildest, no-filter 20-somethings. Now, the show is back for its 24th season, and things are slightly different this time around as we follow the crew for a Cypriot getaway.
Chatting exclusively to new, show veterans Chloe Ferry and Marnie Simpson describe this series as one of the best yet. "This time, you get to see our real lives, everything is much more personal," admits Chloe.
For mother-of-two Marnie, 31, it's a family affair, with her husband Casey Johnson and children, Rox, four, and 20-month-old Oax, on screen, too. While Chloe, 28, who is in a relationship with Johnny Wilbo, has an emotional run-in with her ex Sam Gowland during the trip.
With everyone all grown up, the show features five children, a pregnancy, a wedding, and plenty of drama. Here, Chloe and Marnie tell us everything we need to know about the new season...
What can we expect from the new series of Geordie Shore?
Chloe: It's totally different and much more real than in the past so I really enjoyed filming because it was genuine. It was more intense though because this is our grown-up lives you are seeing now. The arguments weren't just over a night out or a boy like in the old days, they were really personal. I'm excited for everyone to see it.
Marnie: Almost everyone had their partners and families there this time, which sounded like a great idea on paper. But it caused a lot of tension and gossiping. Chloe's ex-boyfriend, Sam, came [to Cyprus] and a lot was going on with them. My wedding with Casey was filmed as well which I'm really excited to see because in real life it was such a blur - I was drunk and it went quickly! I don't enjoy watching myself on TV, but it will be nice to watch us all back together again.
