'Lauren still has love for Jake'

TOWIE'S Lauren Goodger is left shattered by inquest details into the death of her former boyfriend Jake McLean in a car crash in Turkey

Reality star Lauren Goodger is heartbroken after learning the details about the death of ex-boyfriend Jake McLean, who was killed in a car crashin Turkey last July.

A coroner revealed last week that Jake, 33, had been three times over the drink-driving limit and had taken cocaine when he was behind the wheel of a car that careered off the road and plunged almost 30ft down a cliff.

A source close to 36-year-old Lauren told new that details of her ex’s death stirred up old emotions, and added that the former TOWIE regular still has “love for him”.

“Lauren is heartbroken at the latest news,” they told us. “She was devastated when Jake passed away last year and this latest inquest is throwing up a lot of emotions. Grief comes in waves, so every day is different. Sometimes she thinks of Jake’s passing, other times she’s at peace with it.”

The details of the crash have come at a particularly difficult time for Lauren, who is steeling herself for the first anniversary of the death of her second baby, Lorena, who died shortly after birth last year.

But despite dealing with her own personal heartbreak, our source says Lauren, who is mum to two-year-old daughter Larose, still provides support to Jake’s family as she knows first-hand the pain of losing a loved one.
