THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE HELPED GREAT BRITAIN SAIL TO VICTORY DURING HER RECENT TRIP TO PLYMOUTH

The Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles as she attended the Sail Grand Prix competition in Plymouth last week, where she met with excited children and sailing hero Sir Ben Ainslie.

Kate, 40, looked the part dressed in a navy and white striped jumper which she teamed with a pair of white shorts for her day of sailing and educating. She wore her hair down in loose curls as she was pictured walking along the pier.

During her visit to the 1851 Trust - a charity who create exciting educational experiences for 11 to 16-year-olds - and the Great Britain SailGP Team, Kate competed as part of Sir Ben's team in a special Commonwealth Race, taking on New Zealand SailGP Team featuring UN Ambassador for the Oceans Lewis Pugh.

And the duchess helped them secure a thrilling victory over their Commonwealth rivals, steering the boat across the finish line.
