There’s a saying that goes, ‘The joy of Christmas is family’ – and cleaning guru Mrs Hinch couldn’t agree more.
When OK! exclusively catches up with the social media sensation in the lead-up to the holiday season, the 33-year-old reveals that quality family time, sentimental gifts and laying out a mince pie and carrot for Santa and Rudolph are the top of her festive wishlist.
But she also lets us in on another little secret. “I actually love mess at Christmas,” she laughs. “People think because I’m Mrs Hinch, there can’t be any mess or any toys out.
“But that’s not the case. There’s mess everywhere at times and I love it, especially at Christmas – that’s what makes a home.”
The mum-of-two – whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe – pretty much broke the internet back in 2018 when she shared her cleaning hacks, tips and tricks on Instagram. Just three months after creating her account, the star reached one million followers and shortly after she got her blue tick.
Fast forward five years, and Mrs Hinch has 5 milion followers, has written six best-selling books, hosts her own podcast, All The Best (& Worst) With Mr And Mrs Hinch, and is now teaming up with Not On The High Street.
As we call Sophie on Zoom, she greets us with a warm smile and exudes the same genuine charm as she does online. But there’s one thing noticeably lacking in the background – Christmas decorations.
“Oh, I’m a 1 December sort of girl,” she jokingly explains. “My mum always taught me that it’s bad luck to put them up before then.
