Ben and Jackie Foden have some seriously happy news to share. Three years on from the arrival of their daughter Farrah – and after three heartbreaking miscarriages – the couple are thrilled to announce to OK! that they have another bundle of joy on the way. “We’re so excited about a second baby,” says US-born
Jackie, who is now in her second trimester. “We’re using this as our grand announcement – we’ve only told those who are really close to us.”
Ben and Jackie, who famously married in August 2019 after only two weeks of “seriously” dating, now live in New York with three-year-old Farrah, who is her glowing mum’s mini-me and absolutely adorable.
She even joins her mummy and daddy on our Zoom call, telling us she’s “very happy” about welcoming a sibling. In fact, she’ll now only draw a picture of her mother with a baby bump. Aw!
The family, despite living in a beautiful apartment in the Big Apple, opted for the countryside at Jackie’s parent’s house in Connecticut as the backdrop for their stunning photo-shoot. And Ben admits it’s “very different from fast-paced city life”.
But it appears that no matter where the family are in the world – New York, Connecticut, or even England, visiting Ben’s two older children, Aoife, 11, and eight year-old Tadgh (from his previous marriage to Una Healy) – they’ll always have a beaming smile on their faces.
Former England rugby star Ben, 38, tells us that his nickname for Jackie, also 38, is “Superwoman” – a nod to the strength and resilience she’s shown during what’s been a hugely challenging 12 months.
