GUESTS GATHERED IN GEORGIA AS JENNIFER LOPEZ AND BEN AFFLECK EXCHANGED THEIR VOWS IN A MAGICAL SECOND CEREMONY

Hollywood royalty Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck staged the ultimate A-list wedding as they held a lavish second event at Ben’s 87-acre estate in Riceboro, Georgia, on 20 August.

After officially tying the knot in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony in July, the happy couple put on a second, bigger, bash that their closest friends and family could be a part of.

It’s reported that Ben, 50, and 53-year-old Jennifer had “an extraordinary weekend of celebrations planned” in Georgia, including a rehearsal dinner on the Friday evening. There was also said to be “a pre-wedding party, a ceremony and... lots of fun lined up”.

The singer and actress walked down the aisle in a beautiful custom-made Ralph Lauren gown, the first of three of the designer’s dresses she wore on her big day. The classic turtleneck column dress, described as a “voluminous work of art”, was made from more than 1,000 handkerchiefs and 500 metres of fabric cut into tiered ruffles.

The ruffles were attached by hand to form a romantic full skirt. A cathedral-length veil was added for an “additional layer of drama”.

On Instagram, Ralph Lauren shared, “Preparing to walk down the aisle, #JenniferLopez wears a custom #RalphLauren handkerchief gown. The silhouette reimagines its column shape with a collection of spectacular ruffles at the hem, its sculptural design flowing effortlessly from the delicate turtleneck into a voluminous work of art.”

Jennifer accessorised the dress with Mikimoto South Sea cultured pearl drop earrings flanked by diamonds set in platinum. She also wore a ring with the same diamonds and a central South Sea pearl.
