BOMBING VICTIM'S MOTHER RECEIVES AN OBE FROM PRINCE WILLIAM

The mother of a Manchester Arena bombing victim spoke of her determination “to make our young people more understanding and resilient to extremist influences” as she accepted her OBE from the Duke of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace last week.

Figen Murray – who has successfully campaigned for greater security at venues since the death of her 29-year-old son Martyn Hett – said it was a “special day” for her family after the terror attack in May 2017 “changed my life forever”.
