It’s certainly been a rocky road to finding true love for Married At First Sight UK’s Shona Manderson and Matt Pilmoor. The couple both signed onto the reality show to marry a complete stranger and while it wasn’t the experience they envisioned — it has led to the perfect match. Sitting down for an early morning chat for their exclusive shoot with OK! at Shona’s house in Nottingham, the duo are clearly content around one another, with the latter often giving her boyfriend, who works as a window cleaner, a loving touch during the conversation while cuddling into his right arm.
The smitten pair have finally been able to go public with their romance, after keeping it a secret while the latest series of MAFS UK aired on E4.
Shona, 31, who is a yoga instructor, had quite the ride on the show, where she was paired with model Brad Skelly in what appeared to be a match made in heaven. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse between Shona and Brad, with their relationship being deemed ‘unhealthy’ as they were asked to leave the experiment.
Narrowly missing one another, Shona bowed out of the show and along came late arrival Matt, 29, who was paired with project support officer Adrienne Naylor. She and Matt made it to the end of the show as a couple, but parted ways shortly after leaving the experiment.
Finally crossing paths following their respective break-ups, the new couple reveal that there was an instant spark between them.
The pair are clearly in it for the long haul, too, as we probe about marriage and a lit-up Shona shoots a giddy look to Matt, who also smiles at the idea.
