YOUNG AND RESTLESS: Nikki Warns Nate

While Victoria is out of town on business, Nate butters up Nikki with compliments, but she’s immune to his flattery

“Nikki thinks Nate is telling her exactly what she wants to hear and quickly cuts him off to question his sincerity,” says Executive Producer/Head Writer Josh Griffith. “Nate decides he has nothing to lose about being completely transparent with Nikki about his hopes for his future at Newman.”

Nate informs Nikki that he wants to run Newman with Victoria one day, but he also admits that it’s upsetting that no one in her family trusts him. Nikki counters that she is a protective of the family business as Victor is and points out that if Nate has any other agenda, it will never come to fruition. “Nate knows the Newmans look out for their own and see Nate as an outsider,” notes Griffith. “This led Nate to form his own alliance with Audra, so he has someone to rely on as he rises up the ranks at Newman.”

Nikki warns Nate that she’ll be watching his every move, especially when it comes to Victoria, and is caught off-guard when Nikki asks if he is in love with her daughter. “Nate is surprised at Nikki’s candor when she questions his true feelings for Victoria,” Griffith explains. “This will force Nate to readjust his strategy on how to keep the Newmans from interfering in his career, as well as his relationship with Victoria.”

COMPANY TIME

Adam tells Nick and Sharon that he will stay at Adustus and work with them both on merging Kirsten Incorporated with McCall Unlimited. At the ranch, Nick and Sharon let Victor know that they will accept his terms for their company, but Adam asks that Victor give them six months of free rein with Adustus.
